We are seeking an experienced and licensed PHP Treatment Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, oversee daily treatment services, support staff development, and help ensure exceptional client outcomes.
Position Summary
The PHP Treatment Supervisor serves as the clinical lead during program hours and plays a key role in overseeing treatment delivery, staff supervision, documentation quality, and client care. This position combines direct clinical services with leadership responsibilities and is ideal for a clinician who enjoys both client interaction and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision & Treatment Delivery
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to behavioral health staff.
- Review treatment plans, assessments, progress reviews, and discharge documentation.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentorship, and supervision.
- Promote high standards of clinical care and treatment effectiveness.
Program Operations
- Oversee daily program activities, schedules, admissions, and discharges.
- Ensure treatment services are delivered efficiently and consistently.
- Monitor client participation, attendance, and overall program flow.
- Coordinate with leadership regarding client care needs and program operations.
- Support a safe, organized, and therapeutic treatment environment.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Monitor clinical documentation and service quality.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and internal reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of required records.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance activities.
- Promote confidentiality and professional standards throughout the program.
Team Development & Client Support
- Train and mentor new clinical staff members.
- Provide support during crisis situations and clinical escalations.
- Collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care.
- Encourage a positive, professional, and client-centered culture.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active and unrestricted professional licensure in North Carolina.
- Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Previous supervision, leadership, or team development experience preferred.
- Experience working in PHP, IOP, Day Treatment, or similar behavioral health settings.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to developing clinicians.
- Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment skills.
- Experience supporting quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
